2026/2027 Team Captains

Hello! My name is Andy Fonseca, I’m a senior, and it is my fourth year on Broad Run crew. I started off as a coxswain for our men’s novice boat then for the past two years have been with our women’s 1V. A coxswain can be seen as an extension of the coach, taking initiative with race plans, steering, giving directions, and encouraging others. My favorite thing about Broad Run crew has to be our tight-knit community and the nature we get to experience through practices on the water. If you have any questions I’d be glad to answer!

Hi! My name is Will Ajima and I’m a senior and fourth year rower on Broad Run Crew. I’ve raced in many different boat categories and seats in my rowing career, and I’m so excited to spend this season teaching novice rowers and leading the team! There are so many special things about Broad Run Crew on and off the water that I can’t wait to share with everyone! Crew can be a confusing sport, so always feel free to reach out with any questions!
